Glitherm ET Heat Transfer Fluid Concentrate is not a ready-to-use product. Before use, Glitherm ET concentrate must be diluted with demineralized water to appropriate concentrations according to the proportions recommended by the manufacturer. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of undiluted concentrate due to the high concentration of glycol, high density of the product and the lack of adequate protection against freezing. The process of dilution and preparation of working solutions is described in detail in the “Dilution” section. If you want to know more about dilution, please click on the appropriate tab above.
The highest quality of the heat transfer fluid Glitherm ET Koncentrat is confirmed by the Technical Recommendation of ITB – Institute of Building Technology in Warsaw.
Heat Transfer Fluid, Glitherm ET Antifreeze Concentrate is a highly concentrated premium concentrate based on mono ethylene glycols. The unique formula of the concentrate guarantees the highest quality of working mixtures prepared on its basis. The purpose of the Glitherm ET concentrate is to conveniently and safely prepare both mixtures with standard glycol contents and those prepared individually for specific investment conditions. A high concentration of glycol means less product for transport and storage. ET concentrate will work great wherever transport and storage costs have a large share in overall costs. A smaller amount of a more concentrated product means a lower transport cost per unit of the finished working fluid. Glitherm ET Koncentrat is a valued choice for companies carrying out several investments at the same time. Unused concentrate can be used to prepare a mixture with different parameters for another installation in the same or another investment.
Increased content of corrosion inhibitors, stabilizing additives, refiners, exceptionally high pH buffer, highly effective anti-foam agents dedicated to glycols and neutral pigments make up the recipe of Glitherm ET Concentrate. The product formula is the result of years of experience and research of an interdisciplinary group of specialists who, in consultation with key clients, are constantly working on better and better, new versions of the product. Thanks to their passion and commitment, working mixtures created on the basis of Glitherm ET concentrate and demineralized water ensure full protection of the installation against corrosion and freezing, protect the installation against scaling or precipitation of such undesirable sediments, keep the installation clean, protect the installation against the development of microbiological life and the formation of biofilm on its elements. The high-performance anti-foam additives used protect working mixtures based on the Glitherm ET concentrate against foaming both during filling and during installation operation.
Glitherm ET Concentrate antifreeze is produced from virgin raw materials. No semi-finished products or recycled raw materials were used to produce the Glitherm ET heat transfer fluid concentrate. The use of only the highest quality raw materials for production and the unique formula of the product prevent the degradation of the fluid and guarantee long-term, failure-free operation of the installation.
Glitherm ET CONCENTRATE Heat Transfer Fluid is manufactured on the basis of mono ethylene glycol. This allows the use of a lower concentration of glycol in the working mixture compared to fluids based on monopropylene glycol. Making products from the Glitgerm ET family a cheaper alternative to the Glitherm ECO family of fluids. The lower concentration of glycol in Glitherm ET fluids does not make them a worse alternative to Glitherm ECO fluids. Lower concentrations result from physicochemical differences in the properties of ethylene and propylene glycol. In the case of ethylene glycol-based fluids, the use of a lower concentration of glycol maintains all product parameters at the same levels as with higher concentrations of propylene glycol. The monoethylene glycol used in the product is a toxic substance harmful to humans and the natural environment, therefore the release of the working agent into the environment, watercourses, sewage systems, groundwater or utility water should be strictly avoided. Mixtures prepared on the basis of Glitherm ET Heat Transport Fluid can be safely used wherever there is no direct contact with food or utility water.
UV marker! Glitherm ET Heat Transfer Fluid Concentrate can be enriched with a UV marker at the customer’s request. This additive does not affect the physicochemical properties of the product. The addition of a neutral UV marker causes the working fluid to “glow” when we direct UV rays at it. This is invaluable help when it comes to detecting leaks in the installation. Larger leaks are usually easy to locate. Unfortunately, smaller leaks, especially in the corners of the installation, are difficult to detect. The use of the VU marker means that the darkened section of the installation can only be illuminated with UV rays, e.g. from a pocket UV flashlight. Even for a complete layman, glowing drops of working liquid or their absence are clear and hard to question evidence of the tightness of the installation or its lack. Apart from the obvious advantages for the installation service teams, the acceptance of the installation by the investor will also be much easier. Even a layman will not question the tightness of the installation after such a demonstration. Operating an installation using a working medium with a UV marker is also much more comfortable. Leakage checks can be performed routinely without the need to engage external specialists. Such an inspection of the tightness of the installation can be carried out by the investor’s or facility’s user’s staff. It may even become part of routine internal inspections of institutions using the facility. The manufacturer recommends using a UV marker for each installation.
Color. Glitherm ET Heat Transfer Fluid Concentrate is supplied in blue as standard. The color of the concentrate is obtained by adding completely neutral natural pigments. Pigments – like UV markers – do not affect the physicochemical properties of the product and the mixtures obtained from it. At the customer’s request, it is possible to replace the blue pigment with another pink, yellow, green or purple pigment. This makes it possible to work with working mixtures on foreign markets where, for formal or cultural reasons, only a different color of the working mixture is allowed. The ability to order Glitherm ET heat transfer fluid concentrate in various colors is particularly appreciated by logisticians handling several investments from one central warehouse. Assigning a specific color concentrate to each investment facilitates logistics management and significantly reduces the number of mistakes. One glance at a warehouse or a loaded car is enough to know which investment will receive its material. Alternatively, one glance is enough to know which investment has not yet collected concentrate from the warehouse.
ATTENTION! Mixtures based on Glitherm ET concentrate should not be used in installations containing galvanized materials. At the same time, all mixtures based on Glitherm ET Concentrate are compatible with most materials commonly used in installations, such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass. Also, the fact of soldering the installation does not in any way limit the use of mixtures based on the Glitherm ET concentrate.
