The GLITHERM ET Heat Transfer Fluids family are products dedicated to operation in a wide range of temperatures. The minimum allowable operating temperature of a given mixture depends on the concentration of the working medium. Based on the technical specifications, you should select one of the products for the installation conditions or seek advice from the Glitherm Team of Specialists. As a result of the consultation, one of the standard products will be selected or a dedicated product will be prepared especially for customers with non-standard requirements.
The standard product should be selected on the basis of the attached specifications of individual products, respectively described by the dedicated minimum operating temperature. Standard ready-to-use Glitherm ET Heat Transfer Fluids are:
- GLITHERM ET -10°C Glycol concentration 22%
- GLITHERM ET -15°C Glycol concentration 28%
- GLITHERM ET -16°C Glycol concentration 30%
- GLITHERM ET -20°C Glycol concentration 35%
- GLITHERM ET -25°C Glycol concentration 40%
- GLITHERM ET -30°C Glycol concentration 45%
- GLITHERM ET -35°C Glycol concentration 48%

The highest quality of Glitherm ET Thermal Energy Transfer Fluids is confirmed by the Technical Recommendation of Building Research Institute in Warsaw.
UV marker! Glitherm ET can be enriched with a UV marker at the customer’s request. The UV additive is completely neutral to the functional properties of the product in the installation. However, when there is a leak, the marker causes the liquid leaking from the installation to glow in UV rays. This ensures great comfort for service technicians. Small leaks, even in hard-to-reach places, are very easy to detect with this liquid. Just darken a given part of the installation, illuminate it with UV rays, e.g. from a pocket flashlight, and we already have the answer to the question where the leak is located. The manufacturer recommends using a UV marker for each installation.
The Glitherm ET Series of Specialized Heat Transfer Fluids are ready-to-use mixtures without the need to dilute them or apply other additives before use. Glitherm ET antifreezes are based on high-quality Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG). Only primary raw materials, not recycled, are used in production. Thanks to the use of such high-quality semi-finished products enriched with corrosion inhibitors, pH buffers and refining additives, a top-class product is created. It will ensure uninterrupted operation of each installation for years. The raw materials used prevent the degradation of the fluid and the installation throughout its entire lifespan. The manufacturer provides a five-year warranty for each batch of the product. Ready-made GLITHERM ET antifreezes are adapted to work in even the most demanding environments. The product provides almost complete protection against corrosion and the formation of deposits. It also keeps the interior of the installation clean and protects against the development of microorganisms. The highest quality anti-foam additives guarantee easy filling of the installation and eliminate other problems resulting from possible foaming of the fluid inside the system.
The use of Gli-therm ET Heat Transfer Fluids as the working medium of Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) in the production of Heat Transfer Fluids enables the use of lower concentrations of glycol compared to, for example, products based on Mono Propylene Glycol. This makes Glitherm ET a cheaper alternative to fluids from the Glitherm ECO family. Unfortunately, unlike Mono Propylene Glycol, which is completely safe, environmentally friendly and human friendly, the Mono Ethylene Glycol fluid used in the production of Glitherm ET Fluid is a toxic substance. However, as long as the fluid from the installation is not released, it is completely safe for users and the installation itself. During operations on systems filled with Glitherm ET, extreme care must be taken to avoid uncontrolled release of the working fluid. The natural environment, watercourses, groundwater and utility water should be protected against uncontrolled release.
Glitherm ET Heat Transport Fluid is colored blue as standard. The neutral pigments used do not have any influence on the functional properties of the product. At the customer’s request or for a specific order, the pigment used can be replaced with another one enabling the final product to be pink, yellow, green or purple. Such color marking of individual batches of the ordered product allows, for example, easy identification of which installation it is intended for. This makes logistics management much easier, especially when handling several or more investments at the same time. The color of the product is also important on foreign markets, where, apart from aesthetic or functional values, e.g. regional cultural conditions come into play.
ATTENTION! Glitherm ET thermal energy transfer fluid should not be used in installations containing galvanized elements. The product is dedicated to work in installations made of most commonly used materials. Including installations containing elements made of steel; cast iron; aluminum; copper; brass, etc.. Brazing of the installation does not exclude or in any way limit the use of Glitherm ET preparations.
