GLITHERM ET Concentrate is a highly concentrated heat transfer fluid and antifreeze concentrate designed to protect installations against freezing. The product is based on high-quality monoethylene glycol (MEG) and is intended for the preparation of working solutions with parameters adjusted to the requirements of a specific installation.
Designed for demanding heating, cooling and process installations. A carefully selected package of corrosion inhibitors and performance additives provides protection against corrosion, helps limit the formation of deposits and supports maintaining cleanliness inside the system. High-quality raw materials help protect the fluid and system components against degradation, supporting long-term and reliable operation.
Dilution
GLITHERM ET CONCENTRATE is not a ready-to-use product. It must be diluted before use. The manufacturer recommends using demineralized water to prepare working solutions.
To achieve the required level of freeze protection, prepare the mixture according to the table below:
| Recommended minimum temperature of the mixture |
Concentrate* | Demineralized Water* |
|---|---|---|
| -35°C | 50% | 50% |
| -30°C | 47% | 53% |
| -25°C | 42% | 58% |
| -20°C | 37% | 63% |
| -15°C | 30% | 70% |
* Percentage by volume.
For non-standard operating temperatures not included in the table above, dilution of GLITHERM ET Concentrate should be consulted with the Customer Service Department. Our advisors will perform the necessary calculations and provide a dedicated solution tailored to the specific application.
Application
GLITHERM ET is intended for use in:
- heating systems, central heating (CH) systems and technological heat recovery systems
- refrigeration and air-conditioning systems (HVAC)
- chilled water units
- industrial process cooling systems
- cold stores, freezing facilities and ice rinks
- temperature control systems used in production processes
- fire protection and sprinkler systems requiring freeze protection
Material Compatibility
GLITHERM ET working fluid is compatible with installations made of the following materials:
- steel
- cast iron
- aluminium
- copper
- solder
- brass
Application Restrictions
GLITHERM ET products should not be used in installations containing galvanized components, as they may contribute to accelerated corrosion and the formation of deposits, potentially reducing the operating performance of the system.
UV Leak Detection Additive
Upon request, the product can be enriched with a UV tracer that enables quick detection of leaks in the system using a UV lamp. The additive does not affect the product’s performance properties.
