GLITHERM ET is a range of ready-to-use, specialized heat transfer fluids designed to protect installations against freezing. The products are based on high-quality monoethylene glycol (MEG), making them an economical alternative to fluids based on monopropylene glycol (MPG).
GLITHERM ET fluids are designed for demanding heating, cooling and process installations. They provide effective corrosion protection, help reduce the formation of deposits and support the cleanliness of the system. Carefully selected raw materials and an appropriate inhibitor package protect both the fluid and installation components against degradation, extending their service life and supporting reliable system operation.
Applications
GLITHERM ET fluid is suitable for use in:
- Heating, central heating and technological heat recovery systems
- Cooling and air-conditioning systems (HVAC)
- Chilled water systems
- Industrial process cooling systems
- Cold storage facilities, freezing plants and ice rinks
- Temperature control systems used in production processes
- Fire protection and sprinkler systems requiring freeze protection
Material Compatibility
GLITHERM ET fluid is compatible with installations made of the following materials:
- steel
- cast iron
- aluminium
- copper
- solder
- brass
Application Limitations
GLITHERM ET fluids should not be used in installations containing galvanized components, as they may accelerate corrosion and contribute to the formation of deposits, potentially reducing system performance.
UV Leak Detection Additive
Upon customer request, the fluid can be supplemented with a UV tracer, which enables quick detection of leaks using a UV lamp. The additive does not affect the product’s performance properties.
